Inspired by the medieval castle of Franc-Castel built in Sainte-Croix region, the Francastel music automaton combines the dynamics of “Classicism revisited” and “true modernity”. Majestic columns and structured bases set us firmly in the heart of the medieval Greco-Roman architecture, whilst the fine lines and luminous materials are reminiscent of Art Nouveau (Modern Style). A black lacquered wooden base enhances the luminosity of the movement whilst at the same time placing it firmly on a pedestal. The glass allows the beauty of the mechanical movement to shine through.
